Mana Mahi was founded out of a growing need in the local and wider community for employment in the fruit industry

Realising an opportunity where we can provide an environment for people to learn, earn and upskill. Mana Mahi has a vision to provide support to transition people from programs and benefits to potentially full-time employment. This can lead to a better financial position and home life while contributing to society.

Importantly restoring pride in themselves, promoting self-worth and up-skilling the individual to a better future for themselves and their whānau. How this unique initiative can be a success is through partnering with various organisations in the community, local and wider government supporting the common goal.

What We Do
and How We Do It

Mana Mahi Limited (MML) is an organisation that was founded with the idea of promoting better futures for individuals in the social services system that have very limited access or resources at their disposal to make a positive change to their lives through employment.

Due to the massive gap in staffing needs in the primary industry of fruit growing, picking and processing the initiative was brought into life.

Realising an opportunity where we can provide an environment for people to learn, earn and up-skill. Mana Mahi has a vision to provide support to also transition people from programs and benefits to potentially full-time employment.

This can lead to a better financial position and home life while contributing to society. Importantly restoring pride in themselves, promoting self-worth and up-skilling the individual to a better future for themselves and their whānau.

How this unique initiative can be a success is through partnering with various organisations in government and in the community supporting the common goal – positive futures for the individual.
